Mets Top Mariners

The New York Mets were crowned the champions of the Seamheads Laundry League today as they put away the Seattle Mariners at Citi Field 8-2.

It was the Mets 1st time to win it as they finished off the Mariners 4-2 in the Round 3.

During the National League East regular season New York put up a 91-71 record and finished first.

Besides winning the big game and all of the accolades that go along with it, the President of the United States has already let the team know that he would like them to visit later this year. When speaking of the call he received from the POTUS, Mets Manager, Clay, seemed a bit flustered. "He told us that he wants to meet the boys that won the Series and asked if we would come to the White House. I told him, "Hell Yes...er-Yes Sir, Mr President". While the date has not yet been decided, we will be reporting upon the exciting event.
