Did You Know?
- This was the ninth no-hitter in Tigers history but the first combined one.
- The game was delayed 82 minutes due to inclement weather and Matt Manning started the no-hitter pitching in a steady rain. Because of the wet weather, Manning hit leadoff hitter Bo Bichette with his fourth pitch of the game, then walked #2 hitter Brandon Belt on four straight pitches. That was the last time the Blue Jays got more than one runner on base in an inning.
- The rain stopped in the second inning and Manning suffered from back stiffness, but stayed in the game.
- Key defensive plays included right fielder Kerry Carpenter's sliding catch of a Vlad Guerrero, Jr. foul pop down the first base line in the fourth inning and third baseman Zach McInstry's diving stab of a Matt Chapman scorching grounder one batter later for a 5-3 putout.
- Manning used 34 four-seam fastbals (37%), 30 sliders (33%), and 27 curve balls (30%). It was the first time all season his fastball percentage was lower than 44.8%.
